This is so cool... I love the glitchy, sketchy animation style for Cas, love the use of different fonts, and the grainy eyestrainy backgrounds and settings really help to set the mood and create a surreal, almost disassociative feeling. Cas is really going through it. The vibes of this are immaculate. I can't wait to see more.
ok this isnt supposed to be mean but is it supposed to lag and freeze a bit every time cassidies sprite changes because for mine the game freezes a little everytime his character sprite changes which is like weird
Nobody else told me about this happening with the game otherwise, im sorry about that. im admitedly not good at optimizing but i might look into it while working on the next part
love love love the stylistic choices, sometimes I feel people are doing too damn much and its not worth it but I feel what work you put into these scene are not only very worth it but impactful and unique in the way you delivered them. I also think you do well in such a short time to give vibes off that take the average DV a lot more build and work?? sometimes seeing stuff that feels "work smarter not harder" *tho obvi u put hard in to this duh* is something I really admire in games like this. You used design, sound, texture, movement ect in a way that is effective n special n feels fresh yet gives nostalgia stilll??? and with a narrative that is concise but idiosyncratic. TLDR, hell ya playa, this goes.
having been a fan of your work since string degen, your artistic voice has really evolved utilizing a visual novel as your medium. i think it really complements your compositional skills - it is so easy to get engrossed in this space now that the viewport takes up the entire screen. waiting with bated breath for the next installment, however long it takes
